My sports investing bankroll is always in USD as many books did not accept CDN dollars.

As a result of current events offshore I have withdrawn alot of my money and it now sits in my USD bank account.

My Question....

should I keep the funds in USD or should I convert to canadian, where do posters see the US dollar vs the Canadian dollar going in the short term (next year or so).

Right now I can get about 1.18Canadian dollars for each USD I have.

Thanks for the input

convert it to canadian dollars and any other extra money you are able to part with via investment should be used to buy gold and silver bullion.

all paper currencies are fiat shit right now, but canadian dollar is in a better position than the us peso.

Woof, dont you think a better anti-USD play is the euro? Im not one to really advocate as the Euro and Europe are more or less trash IMO but in VS. scenario looking for leverage in currency trading wouldnt the Euro be more effected (positively) by the doomsdayers (no offense) speculation of the USD?

Im just curious.

Levi, euro in many ways could replace usd as worlds reserve currency. However, the fundamental problems in europe are in some ways worse than us, so I prefer owning Canadian dollar vs. Euro, and in today environment of oceans of paper being printed by all countries, of course I prefer gold/silver over all paper currencies.

I refer to euro as being the tallest midget among the worlds paper currencies.

Since canada is more politically and geographically stable than europe, id focus there before europe. Countries like Denmark, France, UK, could fall into civil war if current conditions dont improve.

Dont worry about the doomsayor comments...I expect it. Im more worried about making money than worrying about being labeled chicken little.

Aussie dollar and NZ dollar are also safe plays, but since SS lives in Canada he should be in CD moreso than looking around globe where to put his savings.

The dollar isnt going to go into freefall collapse too quickly for other countries will burn their own currencies to slow that tide. Whats going to happen is all paper currencies are going to depreciate vs precious metals.
